Last week we launched a post that started somewhat of a frenzy on Facebook.
To be fair, dropping into any group and suggesting that their collective body of work isn't good will likely cause a ton of pushback.
Many people agreed, lots appreciated the constructive feedback, some were offended, and a sizable group thought it was complete rubbish. But behind it all, there was tons of discussion (like hundreds of comments) around what wedding films are all about, and what standard we should hold ourselves to as creatives.
It has so many people talking that Matt and Ryan, from Studio Sherpas, reached out and asked us to do a podcast episode to dive deeper into the idea that most wedding films suck, and to share some more ideas that will help people buck this trend.
Here's my nearly 52-minute conversation with Studio Sherpas about our journey in and out of weddings, how to break down barriers, and some solid debate around the value of going deeper with your work.
If you'd like to join the discussion, leave a comment below. You can also check out the original post that started it all right here.
